Scott launched KYHA Studios in Melbourne, and her flagship brand, One Day Bridal, quickly gained momentum in the Australian market. However, she had bigger aspirations and wanted to reach more brides who were looking for something different from conventional bridal wear.
In 2016, Chosen by Kyha was born as the answer to this growing demand. The brand was designed to offer designer-quality wedding dresses at a more accessible price point, making high-fashion bridal wear available to a broader range of brides.

Do you have any interesting facts or stories about how KYHA started?
"Believe it or not, before founding KYHA Studios, I was a police officer! But fashion has always been in my blood. My mum had a tennis and athleisure label while I was growing up, so creativity and design were part of my world from an early age."
What's Your Story and Where Did the Brand Stem From?
"During my own wedding journey, I saw a gap in the market for modern, fashion-forward bridalwear. I wanted to create pieces that made women feel like the best version of themselves rather than conforming to outdated bridal norms. In 2011, I started designing bespoke gowns, and from that initial vision, KYHA Studios has grown into what it is today."
What do you think of the brand today?
"Our brand mission is to empower women, and that's exactly how I want our brand to be today. Confident, empowered, and unapologetically themselves. Every design choice, from fabric selection to embellishment placement, is made with that in mind."
Is there anything that you want to say to potential future brides?
"Stay true to yourself. Your gown should reflect your personal style and make you feel like the most confident version of yourself. While it's natural to seek input from friends and family, their opinions should never outweigh how you feel in the dress. Choose the gown that makes you feel beautiful, empowered, and completely you, because at the end of the day, it's your moment."
Is there anything exciting that's to come?
"We're always evolving, and this year, we're excited to introduce pieces that go beyond bridal, designed for all women, not just brides. Stay tuned. There's a lot more to come on the runway."
