Now that you’ve found your dress with us at Belle Lueur Bridal, it’s time to make sure it fits you flawlessly...

Due to high demand we specialise exclusively in alterations for brides that have purchased their dress from Belle Lueur Bridal only.

HOW DO I BOOK IN FOR ALTERATIONS?

After purchasing your dress from Belle Lueur Bridal, you will be sent an email explaining our process. You will also be provided with a link where you will be able to book the most suitable appointment for you.

After your first alterations appointment, you will then be booked in for your second appointment on the day.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY APPOINTMENT?

Allow for 10-12 weeks before your wedding date, or for destination brides please work back from your travel date.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
  • Wedding-day underwear

Bring the underwear you plan to wear on your wedding day—this ensures everything fits and sits exactly as it will on the big day. Not sure what to choose? No problem! Chat with your stylist for recommendations or check out our Belle  Lueur Bridal Instagram highlights—we’ve curated some of our favorite options there.

  • Shoes (or ones with a similar heel height)
  • Veil

If we have time, feel free to try on any accessories like jewellery, too.

Just a reminder: we can only alter pieces purchased through Belle Lueur Bridal.

CAN I BRING GUESTS TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Absolutely—we know that having someone supportive by your side can help you feel at ease.

We do however ask that you only bring one guest and that you don’t bring older children with you to your appointment (though very small babies are absolutely welcome), as we want to ensure we have enough space to focus fully on you and your alterations.

If someone disrupts the process or undermines your wishes, we may ask them to wait in our lounge.

HOW MUCH WILL THE ALTERATIONS COST?

Unfortunately we can't provide a cost until we see you in your wedding dress and can fully determine what alterations need to be carried out.

HOW DO I CONTACT THREAD & VEIL?

Please be aware that we DO NOT do alterations for anything other than dresses bought from our own boutique.

Sewing has been a part of my life since I was a little girl, learning from my incredibly talented (and mostly self-taught) mum. We've spent years designing together, and she’s been with me every step of the way — from dreaming up Tuna & Bear to building Belle Lueur Bridal. Her creativity and passion have shaped this business in ways I’ll always be grateful for.

As you may already know, I have a deep-rooted passion for fashion — and bridal in particular. It honestly feels like it’s in my blood. I couldn’t imagine a day where I’m not doing this; every part of the process feels personal to me. You’ll often hear me dreaming up new designs or finding ways to get creative so that your bridal look always feels unique, thoughtful, and completely you.

Laura is our rock. She’s been part of both businesses from day one and plays a huge part in bringing each bride’s vision to life. Her expertise is second to none, and we wouldn’t be who we are without her.

She is an incredible seamstress with a true passion and love for sewing. Laura genuinely cares about making each and every bride feel special, seen, and confident. At just 30 herself, she brings a modern, fashion-forward eye to every alteration — always interpreting changes in a way that feels fresh and stylish.
