Online Wedding Dress Sale Terms & Conditions
This Agreement applies to made-to-order wedding dresses purchased through our website for delivery to you. This is a fully online transaction — no in-person appointment, fitting, or collection forms part of it.
1. Ownership of Goods
All goods ordered remain our property until paid for in full. No title or ownership passes to you until payment has been received and cleared.
2. Your Order & Right to Cancel
Orders placed through our website are “distance contracts” under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Ordinarily these give a 14-day right to cancel — however, this does not apply to goods made to your specification or personalised for you (Regulation 28(1)(b)).
Every dress purchased through our website is made to order specifically for you by the designer, in your selected size, colourway and specification, following the placement of your order. As such, your order is exempt from the 14-day cancellation right, and your payment is non-refundable once your order has been placed with the designer, except as set out in Section 3 (Refunds).
3. Refunds
As your dress is made to order and exempt from the 14-day cancellation right, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes for a change of mind, an incorrect size selected through self-measurement (see Section 9), or general dissatisfaction with style or fit, once your order has been placed with the designer.
This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If your dress arrives faulty, damaged in transit, significantly not as described, or otherwise not of satisfactory quality, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances. Please contact us at hello@bellelueurbridal.com within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and a description of the issue, so we can investigate promptly.
Where a refund is agreed, it will be processed to your original payment method (or via Klarna, where used) within 14 days. Any dress returned for inspection must be unworn, unaltered and in its original condition with all tags attached, unless the fault itself makes this impossible.
4. Made to Order Goods
As a made-to-order product, slight variations in fabric shade, colour tone, embellishment, beading, embroidery, texture or finish may occur between the images shown on our website and the finished dress. These variations are inherent to the handcrafted production process and do not constitute a fault or defect. Your dress will be produced substantially in accordance with the design, colour and style selected at the time of order.
5. Lead Times & Your Wedding Date
Lead times for made-to-order dresses vary by designer, season and production capacity, and are estimates only. If you have a specific wedding date, please check the estimated lead time on the product page and allow enough time for delivery and alterations before ordering — if you’re unsure whether a style suits your timeline, contact us before placing your order.
A priority or rush service may be available for some designers at an additional cost, subject to designer approval and availability, and will be shown on the relevant product page where offered.
6. Changes After Ordering
Once your order has been confirmed and submitted to the designer, production begins and the following are no longer possible: changes to style, fabric or colour; changes to size; and cancellation of your order. We strongly encourage you to be confident in your selection before completing your order — if you believe your measurements may change before delivery, please contact us before ordering to discuss your options.
7. Pricing
Prices shown on our website are correct at the time of publication. In the rare event a designer increases their wholesale price between your order date and delivery, we reserve the right to pass this on with reasonable written notice. This will not affect payment already made.
8. Payment
Full payment is due at the time of order and is taken through our website checkout. We accept payment by debit/credit card, Shopify Pay, or Klarna.
If you choose to pay using Klarna, you enter into a separate credit agreement directly with Klarna, governed by Klarna’s own terms and conditions, independent of this Agreement. We receive payment in full from Klarna at the time of order, and your order is treated as paid in full for the purposes of this Agreement once Klarna confirms payment to us — regardless of your repayment schedule with Klarna. We do not offer payment plans or instalment arrangements for online orders.
9. Sizing & Measurements
Sizing guidance is based on the designer’s official measurements. Made-to-order dresses are produced to the designer’s standard size chart and are not made to your exact body measurements as a bespoke couture service would be.
As this is an online purchase, you are solely responsible for taking and submitting your own measurements accurately, and for selecting the correct size based on those measurements and the designer’s size chart. We recommend having your measurements taken by a professional dressmaker or seamstress wherever possible. We do not measure you in person and cannot verify your measurements before your order is placed with the designer.
The measurements typically required are: bust, waist, hips, and height. Depending on the designer and style, we may also request bicep, cup size, hollow-to-hem, and heel height — we’ll confirm exactly what’s needed at the time of order. Where your measurements fall between two sizes, we’ll advise the most suitable size based on the designer’s chart and the best overall fit. Please note that even with accurate measurements, most brides will still require alterations to achieve a perfect fit.
We cannot be held responsible for any dress made in an incorrect size as a result of inaccurate self-measurement, and no refund, exchange or compensation will be provided on this basis (see Section 3). We also cannot be held responsible for changes in fit caused by changes to your body shape, weight or muscle composition between order and delivery.
10. Delivery
Delivery dates given are estimates only, and we’re not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including the designer’s production process or courier networks. Once your dress arrives with us from the designer, we will dispatch it to the delivery address provided at checkout and notify you by email, with tracking information where available. Please check your dress promptly on delivery and contact us with any concerns. Risk in your dress passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout — please ensure your delivery address and instructions are accurate.
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, the price you pay does not include any import duty, customs charges, or local taxes applied by the destination country. Any such charges are your sole responsibility and are payable by you directly to the relevant courier or authority. We have no control over these charges, cannot advise on the amount in advance, and are not responsible for delays caused by customs processes.
11. Alterations
Alterations are not included in the price of your dress and are not provided or arranged by us. Your dress is made to order to a standard designer size and, as with the vast majority of wedding dresses, will likely require professional alterations to achieve the best fit — common alterations include taking in or letting out the bust, waist or hips, hemming the length, adjusting straps or sleeves, and adding support or structure. You are solely responsible for arranging and paying for your own alterations with a qualified seamstress of your choice, and should budget for this separately.
12. Dress Care
Your dress will be supplied with a manufacturer’s care label. Please read and follow the care instructions provided before cleaning, steaming, pressing or storing your dress. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by a failure to follow the care label, or by improper storage, cleaning or handling after delivery. We recommend a specialist wedding dress dry cleaner for any cleaning required.
13. Designer Availability
Occasionally a designer may discontinue a style, fabric or colourway after your order is placed and outside of our control. We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the nearest alternative.
14. Liability & Limitation
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for the dress. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from an incorrectly selected size or a failure to follow dress care instructions. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
15. Data Protection
We use your personal data to process your order, arrange delivery, and communicate with you, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including issues affecting our designers, manufacturers or couriers.
17. Faults & Complaints
All dresses are checked before dispatch. If you believe your dress has arrived with a fault, please contact us at hello@bellelueurbridal.com within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photographs and details of the issue, and we will liaise with the designer on your behalf. Minor finishing variations, natural fabric characteristics, or an expected need for alterations are not considered faults — this process sits alongside, and doesn’t replace, your statutory rights under UK consumer law (see Section 3).
For any other concerns about your order, please contact us at hello@bellelueurbridal.com and we will do our best to resolve the matter promptly.
18. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Online Order Acknowledgment
By completing your order through our website checkout, ticking the box to confirm you accept our Terms and Conditions, and submitting payment (including via Klarna, where selected), you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Agreement — including that your made-to-order dress is exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right, that your payment is non-refundable other than as set out in Section 3 (Refunds), that once production has begun with the designer no changes or cancellations are possible, that you are solely responsible for the accuracy of your own measurements, that alterations are not included or arranged by us, and that any import duty or taxes on international deliveries are your responsibility.
Dog Tuxedo - Frequently Asked Questions
How are the dog tuxedos made?
All harnesses are hand crafted with you and the pooch in mind.
Although high-quality, this means they can vary by a couple of millimetres so please refer to the size guide as a guide only and not exact measurements.
To really get a quality fit, please send me your pooch's neck and chest measurements in CM when placing the order.
I have provided a 'How to measure' guide within the listing as well as a step by video on my shop.
How do you attach the bow tie?
The bow tie is attached using hot glue the reason for this is its much more difficult for the dog to remove the bow tie off the harness but also because if it is sewn then the bow tie moves and usually is wonky in photos.
What is the ring bearer attachment?
The ring bearer attachment is a little clip I attach to the outside of the jacket to enable your dog to carry the rings.
Do you sell a matching lead?
Yes, for the standard colours, Black, Navy and Grey.
What size should I order?
There is a 'Size Guide' and 'How to measure guide' These should provide you all the information you need to produce the measurements so I can tailor fit your pooch for the big day!
Returns and exchanges
Please be aware if you provide measurements, the harness will be altered to these which makes the harness NON-RETURNABLE.
Once the neck measurement has been altered this can't be altered again to make it bigger, so please ensure this is correct when ordering.
If you order the harness with the incorrect measurements and it has been altered, we will not be held accountable.
If you require further alterations to the back strap, this still can be done but you will be liable for postage costs to return and resend.
